Well we closed on our house on Duquesne last Tuesday. I think it was somewhat bittersweet because we still don't really have a home to go to. We're still waiting to hear anything about the house on Dartmouth and unfortunately we don't really get any updates. The move went pretty well (for moving) and a few of Dane's firefighter buddies came and helped move all the big stuff which I was very thankful for. Amanda's rental house has been working out pretty well but we had a "situation" last night that made me very anxious to get out of there. Hopefully it won't be too much longer though. But we've got a decent amount of space, room to store all our stuff and Carter has been loving having a bigger backyard to enjoy all this nice weather.
The rental house didn't have a mailbox for some reason so Carter and I put one in on Friday. Though it was about 75 out he kept saying he was cold and wrapping up in his blankie - I wonder if he's getting hot and cold confused :) He was very proud of his handy work.
Here's all our beds in one of the rooms - ours, Chesni's and then Carter's. The house is a 3 bedroom but one room is in the basement and I didn't like the idea of being separated from the kids so we're bunking up with Carter. Landon is in his own room because he's a pretty light sleeper and he likes to kick/thump his legs around in the middle of the night so he's hard to sleep with! So far it's worked out pretty well - though I've learned Carter's a snorer! I think he really likes the fact that we're in there with him though.
