Only 16 weeks left!!!

Worn out after the first day of skiing 22 1/2 weeks

It has been a busy few weeks, but we've gotten a lot done to get ready for baby. Carrie from work graciously went with me to Babies R Us to help me register (which probably saved me hours from examing everything and trying to decide!) She had a baby almost a year ago so she helped me out a ton picking what I need and what actually works. We also have done some more work to the nursery and Dane got the walls painted. I also got all my old childhood books from my parents so I was able to put those on the bookselves and reminisce while looking at them. I remember reading them all so vividly that it seems so surreal to now be getting them out for my baby! We still have a little more to do, but it's pretty much ready to go. It's nice to know the nursery is out of the way and we won't have to worry about that as more and more things come up to do. We've also signed up for all the preparation type classes through the hospital so that will be helpful as well. While we've been busy working on a lot, we were also able to get away Valentine's weekend and enjoy some time in the mountains. We took work off on Friday and enjoyed a day of skiing at Copper and then spent the night up there as well. The next day Courtney and Jamison came and met us to ski so that was a lot of fun. It was a couple of days of slow skiing for me, which was probably pretty boring for Dane, but it was a really good time. We also had another doctor's appointment last week and she said everything is looking and sounding good. I even saw the baby kick the other day. I was laying on the couch and noticed my stomach twitch out of the corner of my eye as he was kicking. Dane and I started to watch my stomach and you could see it keep moving as he was moving around. It was pretty neat to see! I've also definitely begun to look pregnant and I don't think there is any question when other people see me and my belly. It makes sleeping difficult though as I'm getting bigger, but my mom got me a pregnancy pillow and that has helped out tremendously. It's really exciting to think we only have about 3 1/2 months left until the little guy is here - but we can't wait!!!
