Christmas Tree

The other night I went in to check on Carter and found him passed out with his butt high in the air. I thought it was pretty funny so I had to take a picture of it. I had to hang in his crib and put the camera upside down to take a picture because of the way he was laying to fit him in the picture. I couldn't load the picture flipped around though, so here it is upside down...
He had just pushed himself up onto his knees and fallen right asleep. He keeps sleeping like this though, so it must be comfortable. He seems to be starting to think about wanting to crawl too. He's pushed up onto his hands and knees a couple times, but as soon as he pushes his weight forward he collapses. He definitely seems to be ready to move though and seems to get frustrated by the fact that he can't be on the move. Soon enough I'm sure he'll be crawling all over the house!
2 summers ago when we went to Peru we bought a couple knit hats for ourselves and I thought the small ones were so cute I bought one (even though I wasn't even pregnant yet). We just found it and put it on Carter. It already is too small for his head though, but he looked pretty cute in it.
All of us in our Peruvian hats
We went for the 4th year to cut down our Christmas tree right outside of Winter Park. It was Leanne's 2nd year to come along. We found a good one this year - here we are in front of it. Carter's first Christmas tree!

Carter's cheeks were cold so we put my scarf around them for a little while to warm them up.
Carter sitting in the parking lot playing while we tied the tree to the roof of the car. It's so strange to be able to look over and just see Carter sitting there by himself. He's been sitting up since he was a little over 5 months but had to have his hands down to support himself. Now he's sitting up so straight and can have both his hands up to play with toys. He still tips over occasionally if his head gets leaning to one side too far, but for the most part is pretty stable. It's fun to watch him turn into a little boy!
Once we got the tree decorated Leanne showed Carter how fun it is to lay under the tree and look up at the lights.
Enjoying the bright lights and ornaments

So I'm posting all the comments here! I can't believe how big he is getting definitely baby and not newborn. I love the reindeer hat as well as the I'm Stuffed bib . . . so cute! Looks like you guys are having so much fun being parents. I love it even though it is exhausting!
