The last week...

We've been pretty busy this last week and have had lots of fun. Carter went to the doctor last Friday for his 9 month check up and continues to be in the 50th percentile for all his measurements - he's very consistent! He was 20lbs. 9 oz. and 27.75 inches. He's also crawling, standing, and walking along everything. He is a very busy little boy and even the doctor commented that he is very much a boys boy. He has also recently discovered he can yell along with his babbling so every once in a while he remembers he can make loud noises and has a little outburst. It's pretty funny sounding. He's doing great and I know he's going to be walking before we know it! Luckily a couple days after I posted that he wasn't sleeping very well he began to start sleeping again. We're back to 7:30 to 6:30 (and sometimes 7:30 if we're lucky) which has been nice. Sometimes I swear he knows what I'm saying about him so he changes his ways! Don't know what happened here, but I think it's a funny picture :)
A quick photo I caught before he rolled over and crawled away - no holding still while lying on his back for a photo anymore!
It was so nice out this weekend and so we spent lots of time in the yard. Carter's not too sure about the pokey grass though so he didn't want to leave his blankie. He'd go to crawl off and put one hand on the grass and then pull it off, then he'd try to other hand and pull it off really quick. He kept going back and forth between his hands, but just couldn't stand to get going on the grass.
Sitting with dad helping him play fetch with Ches
Having fun swinging in the air
Yummy blueberries for breakfast - he did have a little purple face after the fact though.
Carter is really into exploring EVERYTHING and getting into EVERYTHING! He's learned to climb on top of stuff. He also has learned he loves the bathroom - it contains 2 of his favorite things - paper and water. He's learned that he's now tall enough to stand up by the toilet and he can reach the water and he's also learned that toilet paper rolls are very fun. All toilet seats are now down and doors are closed in our house. He's quick to discover if you've forgotten to do either though.
Sometimes he goes somewhere, and then gets stuck...
Also has found the laundry basket in the closet to be a good time
We're beginning to wonder if Carter thinks he's a puppy, not a baby. He loves the dogs and also love their toys and bones. Apparently the bones feel nice on the gums!
He's also started carrying around all his toys or whatever else he has in his mouth while he crawls around.
Maybe he's spending a little too much time with Chesni
Carter's first St. Patrick's Day! Enjoyed a trip to Old Chicago for St. Baldrick's and some green beer with Auntie.
Dane still with hair...
And now no hair! I gave Carter a little baby buzz cut to go along with Dane :)
Carter got his very first tricycle and was having a blast riding around in it! Too bad it's snowy out today, but we enjoyed walking around the house.
