Dane was at the firehouse from Thursday night through Saturday evening this last week so Carter and I decided we'd go stop by for a visit on Friday so we could actually see him. When we got there they were doing some training with the bucket so we got to watch and Dane actually took me up for a ride. Here's a view from the bucket looking down the ladder.

It is ridiculous what these guys do - I think Dane said the ladder is at 75 degrees and and is 90 feet high and they just climb up the ladder without being tied in to anything at all. I would have to be paid a lot of money to do that without freaking out. I don't really mind heights or anything, but it's pretty sketchy.
