2 years old!

I cannot believe Carter is already 2 years old!  He is turning into such a little man and is so full of life and personality.  I can't imagine our lives without him - he's challenged us, taught us and brought us so much joy and laughter.  It's amazing how one minute he can be whining and throwing a fit and then two minutes later do something so sweet and I think he's the cutest thing ever.  The bi-polarness of a 2 year old!  Bring it on terrible two's - we're ready for you, well maybe not, but we'll figure it out on the way (hopefully).

Now a crazy 2 year old!

We had Carter's 2 year checkup the other day and he's doing well.  50th percentile for his height (34 1/2") and 20th percentile for his weight (25 lbs. 14 oz) so he's a little stringbean.  He's doing well developmentally and is pretty normal with his lack of interest in eating (unless it's frosting).  There's just too much for him to do to take the time to sit down to eat!  At two years old Carter loves the stereotypical boy stuff - cars, trucks, balls, dinosaurs, wrestling, animals, etc.  He's our little meathead and such a tough guy.  Always on the move and is busy, busy, busy.  He always wants to be outside and the pool is going to be his favorite place this summer.  He can't wait to get into the water when we go, he has no fear of jumping off the side, even if Dane's not there (little scary for us - have to be ready to catch him at all times).  He loves the park and swinging and sliding.  Chesni and Ni are his pals and he also loves the neighbor's dog, Taz.  He likes to explore and test his own boundaries, as well as ours.  He's getting quite the vocabulary and becoming pretty talkative except when he's around a lot of people.  He likes to say hi to all the birds and point out trees while we drive.  He also gets very excited when he sees "big trucks!"  He hates when I try to take him clothes shopping but likes the grocery store due to the free cookie and horse ride.  He's going to be a great big brother though I expect he might not be so excited about it at first.  I have a feeling he will enjoy being the oldest though and will probably have his little brother doing all sorts of crazy things - kinda like Leanne did to me and Kristen.  Can't wait!
