Oh Carter boy...I can't believe you are officially 2 1/2 now - how did you get to be so old??? You have fully embraced being a toddler and have developed so much the last few months. You continue to get more and more coordinated physically which has presented a challenge for us because you can now get into EVERYTHING! I always think something will be safe and you won't get into it and you constantly prove me wrong. I miss the days when you couldn't open doors or unscrew lids :) You've also started to really enjoy your independence and are constantly telling us, "No, I do it!" This has made from some frustrating moments, as well as some pretty funny ones. Getting your own shirt off can be an entertaining endeavor. You still love all things transportation related, sports and animals. You also really enjoy playing with other kids, or your "friends" as you call every kid you see. Since you're such a big brute I don't worry at all when you play with older kids. In fact, you're probably better suited to play with kids 5 and over. You are a tough little thing and while you may be a little pee wee, nothing slows you down. You'll take a hard fall, get up, wipe off your hands and run along on your way - no whining here! Perhaps you really took it to heart when we would tell you, "We're not hoof-babies, we're hoof-mans!" You're definitely running or jumping whenever the opportunity presents itself and love a game of chase. We've spent many hours running the loop in our house playing chase or pretending to be cars. You are such a sweet older brother and always want "Wanden" around with you - though you sometimes don't seem to understand why he can't play with you yet. Your vocab is getting to be quite impressive and sentences are 5-6 words long now. Sometimes we have no idea what words you are saying though :) You've also started to get the hang of counting and are pretty solid up to 5 and can go higher, but sometimes start jumping around after that. 5, 11, 9, 10, 10, 6 is sometimes your way of counting :) You've really impressed me with potty training and though we still have the occasional accident I think we would say you are completely potty trained and have been the last couple months. You're still a daddy's boy but you do always run to mommy to give you a kiss if you've hurt yourself and I love that. You continually make us laugh and test us and I'd like to now freeze you so you can't grow up anymore!
