November in a nutshell

I cannot believe it is already December!  November seemed to just fly right by for us and I did not seem to ever really find the time to post pictures - so we'll just have one long post for November.  Hopefully I'll get some time to do some monthly updates about the boys in the next couple weeks.  Carter is getting very excited about Christmas - though I think all he's really excited about are the presents.  He's also become super independent recently.  He is constantly telling me, "No, Mommy, I do it!"  Wants to do everything by himself.  Landon is doing well and I think is mostly looking forward to becoming 6 months and eating some solids - he is VERY interested in food lately.  He's also been getting up to eat so I'm hoping some solids will help him be a little more full and sleep through the night consistently once again.  (I knew I was going to jinx myself with that by writing about it on here - that's always what happens!)  We're just continuing to be busy, busy, busy but I love the holidays and am excited for the weeks ahead.

(I just went through and selected all my photos and then hit upload and realized I had selected 52 - so brace yourself...Mom you'll probably be in heaven with so many pics)

I have 5 pictures of Dane and the boys with his parents - this one was the only one with the majority looking at the camera.  Landon was the only one who looked at me for all 5 - go figure.
Rough life
Celebrating Dane's 31st with some chocolate cake - Carter was very excited

Kristen came home for Thanksgiving and Carter was thrilled.  He absolutely adores her and wants to do everything with her.  They were pretty much attached at the hip the whole time.  I'm sure she was glad to get back to Durango and get some rest!

Everyone cooking for Thanksgiving
Carter and Kristen were busy in a fort while we cooked
My little turkey

Landon trying his first solids other than rice cereal - a little bit of potato
He was more interested in my plate than the potatoes - he seriously kept heaving himself forward trying to get his face in my plate.  I think he's ready for solids soon!
Tired boy after everyone left

I headed over the Kristy's house the next day to go visit with her and Courtney
Landon kept trying to get Courtney - I think he's heard us making plans that he will have to marry her little girl (who should be arriving the end of March) so he was wanting to get more acquainted with his future mother in law
We headed up to Winter Park to get our Christmas tree on Saturday - here Dane was trying to pull Carter and Kristen, not exactly the easiest going uphill!
Carter definitely would prefer to be a beach baby - he's not so sure about the cold and snow

There she is!

We stopped off at Berthoud pass for some skiing too
Carter happily watched from the warm car
Hanging up lights - everyone's favorite job!

Carter really liked getting the ornaments out, or balls as he called them.
Such nice weather over Thanksgiving!  Carter enjoyed lots of time outside and playing some soccer.

We were all pretty tired Sunday night and enjoyed some movie time.  All the boys here in a line.

On Tuesday my mom and Kristen headed back up and we went to the zoo.  It was in the 50's, so pretty nice weather and there was absolutely no one there.  It seriously felt like we had the zoo to ourselves.

This boy will find anyone to play cars - here he was outside the monkeys
Carter thought it was pretty cool he could get so close to the birds in the aviary
They love their Auntie Kristen!

and their Grammy too!
They were both done with pictures at this point - Landon just wanted to chew and this is Carter's way of hiding...
