Graduation

A couple weeks ago Carter had his preschool graduation (even though he'll still be in preschool next year). He was pretty excited about it and sang a little song repeating, "it's graduation day," the whole way there. Though he only went 2 days a week last year it was really fun to see how much he's really grown and the relationships he developed with his teachers and classmates. I'm excited to see what he does with 4 days a week next year. He went from the kid who never talked and was too nervous to participate during their Christmas show to being the kid who never stops talking and dancing and singing like a champ. He made lots of friends and I think really enjoyed it. We definitely had some days in there when he just wanted to stay home (he's my big homebody) but overall I'd say it was a success and I'm so happy we enrolled him.  It's kind of ridiculous they do a graduation ceremony for them but it's so cute to see them in their little hats and see what they all had to say.  It's adorable. I tried to take some pictures of him beforehand and he was of course a goofball and not too interested in posing...
He just thinks he's too hilarious

Then he started to strike a pose - just not the stand there and smile pose I was going for.

He broke out some dance moves
Then felt awkward about it
And goofy faces
So I told him to start running
And this gives a more accurate picture of Carter. Running, smiling and tongue out.

And there's my sweet boy
For this he said, "hey mom take a really close one."
Getting ready to perform.

And graduating time!
He was pretty amused by his tassel the whole time.

Each kid got called up and asked what they learned in preschool and what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Carter was so excited to say he wanted to be a firefighter that's all he got out.  Happy to say he wants to grow up and have the same job as his dad :)

Ms. Lindsay
Ms. Julie
Ms. Kristin (the main teacher - he loved her and it may have helped she had the same name as his aunt Kristen).
Ms. Erin
I was so thankful my parents came along with me because Dane was on shift. My dad took Landon out to the playground so I was able to focus on Carter and gets lots of pictures which wouldn't have happened on my own. Landon was really only there for the cake and juice boxes.

Our little graduate!
And Landon wanted a couple pictures taken when he saw me taking some of Carter. Hard to resist this face.
