Carter is 8 months old today! I can't believe how big he already is and how much he's changed in such a short amount of time. I tell Dane that he's not a little baby anymore so we'll have to have another one so we have a little baby again. :) I thought there would be some time between when Carter started crawling to when he started pulling up...apparently that time in between was just a few days. About 2 days after Carter started crawling he started pulling up and sitting on his knees. About a day after that he figured out how to stand up. He's now pulling up to standing on EVERYTHING and is starting to walk around on the furniture. His favorite is to crawl over to the ottoman, pull up to standing and then walk around that. After 2 weeks of doing this he's gotten pretty good! He's also pretty good about plopping down on his butt, but there have been a few tip overs. The other day he just let go of the ottoman and was just standing there for a few seconds on his own - he lost his balance soon thereafter and fell down. Luckily he doesn't have far to fall and seems to be a pretty tough guy. It makes me nervous though! His favorite things at 8 months are cheerios, "little dog rodeos" (this is what Dane calls it when he has Carter "ride" Chesni and run throughout the house) his bottles, balls, bath time, his foam letter bath toys, monkey, sleeping on his tummy with his butt high in the air, going outside when it's warm, Jack Johnson music time, reading, getting tickled, zerberts and exploring the ENTIRE house. We love our not so little anymore man!
