We headed up to Vail last weekend with Leanne and my parents. There were still some yellow leaves around but it was definitely getting chilly up there and snow was up on the peaks.
We walked around the village and hit up the pirate ship playground
While we explored the pirate ship this is what Carter was doing - guess this is what happens when you're walking around during afternoon nap time
Dane enjoyed himself though
We also thought we needed to create some photo ops with the statues
Later that day we decided to hit up the pool and hot tub. Carter is such a little water baby and seems to think hot tubs and pools are the greatest things ever.
Scoping out the pool and letting dad know it was time to go cool down
Dane ran around the pool in circles and was letting Carter jump off this side - he was in heaven!
Since we spent the evening at the pool we didn't get headed out to dinner until a little later. Considering the fact that Carter normally goes to bed around 7, leaving for dinner at 7:30 meant a late night for him. We were back in a corner by ourselves so he could run around but he started having a slight melt down towards the end of the meal. Leanne had discovered a backyardigans video where they sing a Black Eyed Peas Song. This was thoroughly entertaining for Carter, kept him occupied through the rest of dinner and he now goes woo hoo along with the song.
The next day we headed over to the Betty Ford Botanic Gardens and played on the big playground they have there. My mom and dad tried out the see-saw - my dad got my mom some air here.
All bundled up after getting a little chilly running around playing
Carter then saw the river and kept pointing and saying go
Even with ice cold water this kid still wants to be in it.
