Christmas Day

We stayed home for Christmas and my mom and sister were there with us.  After Carter woke everyone up we headed down and started with stockings - my favorite part!
Carter has this obsession with not having any trash.  When he was opening presents he wanted to take each little piece to the trash can as he ripped it off.  To try to save time I just sat there and had him hand me each piece which seemed to ease his mind.  Guess it's not a bad thing he likes to clean up after himself!
Sampling one of the alligators from his stocking
When we headed in to the Christmas tree he didn't seem to know what to do with all the presents.

 Trying out his new tunnel
That afternoon Dane's parents came up and dropped off some more presents so Carter began round 2 of present opening.

That afternoon he helped Grammy make a ginger bread house.  He helped stick some candy on but I think enjoyed eating it more so.
 Proud of his work!
Leanne went through the tunnel and Carter and Chesni were both very concerned about it!
Nothing like a little dance party to build up an appetite before dinner.  Notice all the toys in the background....we had to set up a play area in the basement for Carter because we were running out of space.
 Really getting down with Grammy
and all worn out after that.
I bought a little baseball mitt when I was pregnant and found out we were having a boy.  The last few weeks Carter has been loving playing with it and on Christmas night he wanted to sleep with it.  I went it to check on him a couple hours after I'd put him down and he was passed out with the mitt on his hand and everything.  Little sports maniac in the making I have a feeling!
