Well I meant to do a 6 month update for Landon but we seem to not have a lot of spare time lately so it kinda got pushed back. So we'll just consider this his 6/7 month update :) We went to the doctor's on the 28th and he weighed in at 18 lbs. 10 oz (70-75th percentile) and was 28 inches (96th percentile). So once again, no small baby here! Our little Lando commando has become so much fun. His personality is really starting to come through and he's so interactive. He's usually very happy and smiles and laughs all the time. Very ticklish guy! He is also quite the observer though and likes to just sit back and take everything in. He is seriously SO laid back. He makes Carter look like such a handful (I probably never would have thought the 6 month old would be easier to handle than the 2 1/2 year old). He's started to take much more of an interest in toys and is constantly trying to get to everything. He pretty much refuses to roll over onto his stomach unless he really, really, really wants something. While perfectly capable of doing it, he just doesn't want to. He flips himself right over as soon as you put him on his tummy. He's getting a little bit better though now that he can push himself up a little more. He's pretty good at holding himself up on all fours and has shifted his weight forward a few times so crawling won't be too far away. He's pretty stable sitting up by himself but will occasionally tip when he reaches too far to try to grab something. He still "talks" up a storm and has started to say dadadada all the time now too. He also continues to be very loud when he's upset. Like ear deafening loud when he cries. Luckily it's not too often that he really gets going, but he's got quite the set of lungs on him! He also thought it was funny that I considered myself so lucky to have a baby sleeping through the night at 2 months, so around 4 1/2 months he decided to stop that...(even after I waited for 2 months to write about it on here - I swear writing good things about my children on the blog is a jinx!!!) So for the last few months we've been visiting every night for a snack. We've tried to let him cry a couple times, but since he's so loud usually after about 1 minute of him crying Carter is then awake. So that method isn't really working for us - 2 kids awake at 3 a.m. is just now a good idea. He also started a couple weeks ago deciding that he didn't want to go to bed at 7:30 and wanted to stay up until about 10. No fun for me who has lots to do after he does go to bed. But luckily within the last week he has decided maybe he does like a pacifier and we've been able to give him that and his blankie and he's been going down again. So slowly but surely we'll get there again with sleeping. At least he's only getting up once and he eats and then goes right back to sleep. And I will now never again write about any really great behavior my kids have for fear it will then stop as soon as it's written :) He has been absolutely loving food and is already having two meals a day. He's started with some finger foods and scarfs down yogurt melts and puffs. Squash still seems to be his favorite but he's also enjoyed apples, carrots, pears, sweet potato and zucchini. I think he can't wait until his gets a little better with chewing and can trying more and more stuff. Hopefully he'll be our good eater considering he probably already eats more than his brother does! He also got his 1st tooth on the 19th (his 6 month birthday) and the second followed on Christmas Eve. So 2 teeth on the bottom in and not too rough of a time with teething. Just a few days of grumpiness which could usually be cured with a little tylenol. We figure he's getting his teeth in soon so he can chow down on a steak. He is just so fun and such a wonderful baby and such a cutie! Even Dane thinks he's beginning to be a lot of fun :) We sure love you lots and lots Landon!!! Also, thank you iPhone for having a decent camera because that seems to be where all my pictures are coming from lately - now I just need the new one so I have a better camera :)

Love his little nose scrunch that he does when he smiles!

Seriously, how cute is he!

There must be something about the blankies Leanne makes and putting your fingers through the holes. Both Carter and now Landon do it. We call it their Michael Jackson fingers.
