Christmas (finally...)

Well I apparently did terrible taking pictures this year during Christmas and really only have a handful - most of which are of the kids opening presents.  No family picture in front of our tree, no picture from Christmas Eve, no pictures from Christmas dinner - fail on my part.  Dane decided in September that he was not leaving for Christmas.  He said we could invite everyone to our house and whoever wanted to see us had to come to us :)  So everyone came up to our house!  My mom and Leanne spent the night Christmas Eve, we made pizzas and hung out and everyone came over for dinner on Christmas night.  Between having 13 people over and trying to cook and tend to children, thoughts of taking pictures did not occur to me.  But we enjoyed the holidays and got to do lots of fun things.
We decorated a gingerbread train this year - Carter was very excited about it but didn't understand why he couldn't play with it.  He also kept sneaking candy while we were decorating.

Carter was excited to see Santa while we were in line but not so much when we put him on Santa's lap.  I think if he could have hung out in the same room and observed Santa for about 20 minutes prior we might have be ok.  Stranger danger was in full force (makes for a funny picture though!)
Landon was just fine

Opening presents Christmas morning
This was pretty much how it went - Carter opened and Landon ate paper.  Landon was more excited about chewing on bows than he was any present

Carter was very surprised when he walked in and saw all the presents

He started to do a little dance he was so excited about it

Trying to get a picture of the boys, but I think Carter was just wondering why I was making him sit and try to take a picture instead of diving into the presents
Next year we should take all the presents out of the packaging and then wrap them - Carter wanted to see everything right away and toys are locked up in their packaging like they're precious jewels!
