More Kauai

Some scenery near our house

Carter is always obsessed with Kristen whenever he sees her.  This time around he added Travis into his obsession.  He always wanted to be near the two of the them and was constantly asking, "where's Travis?"
 Little nakie cutie pie
Trying to get both boys to hold still and smile is nearly impossible
One night we had a dance party on the balcony during sunset - Carter busted out some pretty fancy moves including a little break dancing

That night we also celebrated my dad's birthday with steak, potatoes and a lillykoi pie.
The view of sunrise looking towards the mountains off our balcony
Later the next day we headed to Waimea Canyon.  It was really pretty and one of those things that pictures just can't capture.

Landon saw a bus in the parking lot before we hiked up to the view point and for some reason just wanted to go back and look at that.  So I struck up my best upset face for Dane to show how unhappy we both were at this moment.

Views on the drive back down from the canyon

We stopped at a black sand beach and Carter found a stick he then kept for the remainder of the week

After a bunch of wandering and stopping for lunch we drove as far as you can on the west side of the island to this amazing beach.  There was hardly anyone there, the sand and water were awesome and this was our view of the coastline.
 Our little spot
Everyone quickly ran into the water and we happily stayed here for the next few hours

Carter and Landon both had waves crash right into them, get pulled under a bit and gave Dane and I a scare as we held onto them.  Every once in a while a decent sized wave would come along.  Here I'm holding Carter as a bigger wave is coming.
Usually we'd lift their heads up and it'd be ok

Not so bad.  However, Dane had one time with Carter and I had one time with Landon where bigger waves knocked us both down taking the boys down with us and pulling your arms out from your body.  We both managed to hang on but the boys were under the wave for a couple seconds and it scared me and Dane pretty good.  Carter and Landon didn't even care though.  No whining, no crying.  Just demanded to go back in the water.  We definitely have two very big water babies.

Another view just cause it's so pretty
Not really sure what to say about this one here
Carter loves Kristen and Travis so much he even brought them oreos and then sat down and ate them with him.  He loves his oreos and won't ever share this so this is like a huge sign of affection from him
 Messy oreo face
I spent a lot of my time holding hands and pulling kids back out of the water.  They both had no fear and would have just walked on in by themselves.
