Well Halloween was a month and a half ago but let's reminisce about it. We had a bit of indecision going on when it came to Carter with his costume. He was a fire fighter last year and he decided back in September that he wanted to be a fire fighter again. Even as we asked him if he wanted to be something else he'd tell us no, that he wanted to be a fireman. He was adamant. That was until he saw me making Landon's cowboy costume. Then he decided he wanted to be a cowboy too. Ok, no big deal - I could make two. But then a week before Halloween he told us he wanted to be a power ranger (even though I don't think he even knows what a power ranger is - but he saw the neighbor in a costume and I think that's where he came up with it). So Dane went to costco to see if he could find one. I looked too but I didn't have any luck but found a cute dragon costume. He loves dragons so I thought maybe he'd like it...
But no, he decided the dragon costume was for Landon
and Dane couldn't find a power ranger costume so he got him a GI Joe. Carter was very excited about it and declared that's what he was going to be. Hooray, a decision, or so I thought.
Meanwhile Landon had no say over what he was wearing and entertained himself by painting and trying to eat a mini pumpkin.
On Halloween the little boy I watched came over in an astronaut costume. Carter thought it was awesome.
Landon dressed up as a little pilot for the day. And as I was getting Carter into his GI Joe costume about to walk out the door for school he told me while almost beginning to cry, "I just wanna be a cowboy." So back to the cowboy costume and maybe next year we'll have a dragon and a GI Joe since we now have the costumes.
So we had 2 little cowboys on Halloween night. And this is really the only picture of the both of them. Downside of going with the neighbors with older kids is they are on the move and Carter was too busy running after them to keep up so I didn't get any pictures.
After about 20 minutes or trick or treating Landon and I headed back home to hand out candy and watch a little Chuggington.
He then had the greatest time ever taking all the candy and throwing it everywhere. I like to imagine he was pretending he was "making it rain" with his bounty from the night.
Carter joined in on the fun too.
And our pumpkins for the year. I opted out of the jack o' lantern face and went for the drill. It was much more fun.
