Well we had our first experience of organized sports this summer with tee ball. Overall it went pretty well and Carter had fun but we also decided not to sign him up for soccer this fall which is also an indication of how it went. Though I will say it's tough to expect a lot with a bunch of 4 year old boys and trying to have them focus for an hour... The team was called Shark Attack and Carter was actually the one who came up with that so he was pretty excited. Dane tested his patience through the season in trying to get Carter to focus and follow directions - quite a feat some days! It was so funny and cute to watch the kids though at this age. Lots of running the wrong direction, etc. happened to entertain us. Carter's last game was a rainy one but they all enjoyed themselves. We had Larkin babysit Landon (it's at a park so he just wants to play on the playground not sit and watch, making it impossible for me and Dane to watch), got Owen all ready to go and off we went. I was also happy to have Dane home for the majority of the practices and games since super preggo me was quite a sight on the field when I had to help Carter.
Up for bat. He definitely liked batting and was always excited to get to wear the blue helmet.
Fielding. A parent usually stood by their child while they fielding to try to get them to pay attention. My favorite from this game was looking over and seeing Carter licking the rain off of Dane's coat - he was thirsty he said.
Owen napping during the game
Running to first base and getting distracted by the other teams parents.
Coach Pat and his trophy - Carter was very excited about getting a trophy.
He is looking so much like a big boy now - makes me kinda sad
The team (minus one kid who refused to take a photo).
