Christmas Tree

This year we headed to Woodland Park to get our Christmas tree rather than our usual spot in Winter Park.  Dane even took a day off of work so we could go get it because Carter and I were both sad/whining when we didn't get to go get it during the weekend.  The boys liked heading to Woodland Park because it meant a stop at donut mill and some giant donuts.

We discovered that the area we were going to was not well marked at all so we're pretty sure we were in the cutting area but not 100% - though I do know where were in the national forest at least not on private property.  We found a good parking spot and about 20 yards from the car we found this tree.  We took turns walking around for a bit because it usually takes us quite a while to find a decent tree and it took us about 30 seconds to find this one.  But even after searching we quickly realized the first tree we laid eyes on was the winner and is probably the best tree we've ever gotten.

Landon protesting about taking a picture with me.
Our bipolar boy was totally fine as soon as I put him down though.
Such a faker!

Dane doing good work of chopping it down.
Since the tree was so close to the car and it was a little chilly, rather then bundling Owen up he just relaxed happily in the warm car.
At home Carter was very excited about getting to climb up the big ladder to help put the star on

and he was excited about decorating.  Though he'd find a branch and then load it up with about 10 ornaments...
Landon preferred watching Merry Madagascar and playing with the ornaments.
Owen helping me out

Loving looking at the lights
And Carter's preferred attire for Christmas decorating (or really any activity) :)
