Huffman Happenings: Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun yet busy Labor Day weekend. We had a relaxing night on Friday before we had to head down to Colorado Springs. We just stayed at home and watched a movie. Friday was Carter's first day at daycare and he was so sleepy when we brought him home. He seemed to enjoy having all the activity throughout the day and so many new things to look at. When we started watching the movie he passed out on me and stayed that way through the whole thing pretty much. He even had a hard time staying awake in his bath, and passed out when we were drying him off. On Saturday we headed down to the springs to celebrate both of my parents birthdays and Carter was very busy enjoying the woods and all the dogs. He's very used to big dogs and didn't even seem to mind all 5 dogs around him. We also found that he loves laying on my parents ottoman and looking up at their ceiling fan. With a breeze and something moving to look at he's a happy camper. He did pretty well on his first overnight away from home but was pretty worn out by the time we headed back north. We were home for a couple hours and then headed over to Andy and Ana's to watch the CSU-CU game. We were so excited that Carter got to see a ram victory for his first game! We then headed to a chili roast at one of Dane's firefighter buddie's house and then eventually made it home. Today we headed to Carter's first Rockies game. He was awake for most of the game and seemed to like when you stood up with him and he could see the game. He also got to enjoy a Rockies victory for his first game. He did great with running around this weekend and we've gotten pretty good at being mobile.
