The other weekend we all headed up to Johnstown to go visit Tracey and Sean.  Sean and Dane were heading golfing in Loveland so Tracey and I decided to hang out.  We took Carter over to their neighbors, Paul and Carrie.  Carter was in heaven!  They have an almost 3 year old little boy, Torin, and a twin boy and girl that are almost a year, Ella and Logan.  Carter was having a ton of fun playing with Torin and all the toys they had at their house.  Carrie graciously offered to watch Carter (even though she had her 3 kids, plus a garage sale going on - at least she had a baby sitter there too!) while Tracey and I went to Fort Collins to grab lunch.  I don't know that Carter would have left with me even if I tried though he was enjoying himself so much!  He was having so much fun he didn't take his afternoon nap, even while all other 3 kids went to sleep.  Too many new toys to see!

That afternoon when we got back they enjoyed some time in the sprinkler and with the water table.

Filling up their bucket from the sprinkler.

Warming up in towels - that sprinkler water is cold!

They also enjoyed spending some time in the van "driving"

We headed to Sean and Tracey's house for dinner around 6:30.  Carter had been running and playing pretty much since 10:30 and he was a tired guy.  He was sitting on Dane's lap, too tired to eat, so we gave him some milk and laid him down.  Seconds later he was passed out - so tired he couldn't even take his cup out of his mouth.

And here he is when we got home that night - completely exhausted, but had such a blast.

There were still some after effects the next day too.  We were at the store and he rode around in the cart like this - he'd only been up for about an hour but was still worn out.

One morning I left Carter playing in his room to go put some laundry in...

To discover him under his little art table...

And he then showed me some of his "art!"  Lovely black crayon on the wall!

Carter's summer buzz cut - when you spike it up in the front he is most definitely a miniature Dane!
