The Douglas County fair was a couple weekends ago so we decided to take the boys. We started out on Saturday by going to watch the parade downtown and then headed to the fair and rodeo on Sunday. Both boys were very excited about all of it. They were so cute sitting during the parade just clapping and waving at everyone. Their favorites were the fire trucks, marching bands and Landon loved the horses.
Landon would get the biggest grin when the horses went by
Both boys were worn out and passed out in the stroller on the walk back to the car and then slept on the drive home.
Hot, sweat, sleepy little boys
The next day was the fair and rodeo. Carter loved all the tractors that he could climb on at the fair.
Landon was once again excited about the horses and loved being able to pet a pony
We watched a draft horse show
and then went to the rodeo. Carter has since been calling Chesni his cow and trying to tackle her...
Both boys had fun watching the rodeo for a bit but as it got closer to 2 (which is right around afternoon nap time) we started to lose it. So we didn't stay for the whole thing but leaving early avoided a complete melt down.
And then once again both boys fell asleep on the walk back to the car and were hot, sweaty and passed out.
