Zoo and the train!

I love that both boys are old enough now to really enjoy the zoo.  I'm sure in the next couple months once Landon is solidly walking, or probably more likely running, it'll be even more fun.  He did pretty good cruising around the zoo and he's starting to use walking as his main mode of transportation.  But if he's on the carpet and wants to get to something quickly he definitely drops down and crawls.
 Brothers :)
Landon getting acquainted with the turtle.
Both the boys love looking at the snakes - I'd prefer to skip this part all together though.  Snakes and me are not friends.
They have this newer water and sand box area that was awesome.  It was pretty hot out when we were there and this was a great area with shade so we could have lunch and then splash around.  I'm pretty sure both the boys were more excited about this than seeing any of the animals.

We got to go into the new exhibit, Asian Tropics.  I'd been there prior to the exhibit opening up to the public for a happy hour event with Anadarko. I've got to admit walking around it with only about 50 adults and a beer in your hand was much better, but it was fun to watch Carter explore all the new stuff.
We did get a little show from this monkey though who was swinging all over this rope.
And we finished up the day with a train ride and my attempt at getting a picture of all 3 of us.  We couldn't go into the Gorilla/Ape area because a monkey actually got out and was running around.  They had the area all closed off and zoo keepers everywhere with big nets - it was kinda crazy to see that.
The next day we took an exciting trip on the light rail all the way from Lincoln to Dry Creek (which is 2 stops and last about 5 minutes) to go see Dane and go to lunch with him.  Carter was really excited about riding on the big train.

Landon was unimpressed and thought his graham cracker was the highlight of the trip.

Another poor attempt at a group shot.
