Father's Day Weekend

We had a nice relaxing father's day weekend.  We started it off by heading down to the springs on Saturday and went to the Cheyenne Mountain zoo.  Carter loves going to the zoo and checking out all the animals.  We bought him some crackers to feed to the giraffes - it didn't even faze him having the giraffes right by him.  I guess he was prepared after having the dogs in his face all the time!
He really liked watching the moose too - two of his favorite things - water and an animal!
Enjoying a snack with dad
We went into the bird exhibit and bought a seed stick to have the birds come visit us.  Carter really wanted to just grab the birds though!
There was a little baby orangutan that we had a lot of fun watching.  Carter liked climbing up and down the step near the exhibit too.
On Sunday we got up and made Dane some breakfast, lounged around, headed to the dog park at Cherry Creek and then bought some steaks from Sunflower Market for dinner.  We also got Dane a new golf bag for father's day (which he promptly returned to get one that was exactly like he wanted :)  I give up trying to get him presents, but he tries to tell me it's a good thing he at least tells me it's not exactly what he wanted and it's the thought that counts.  He has numerous presents that he's gotten and doesn't want/use because he hates to tell anyone it's not what he wants!) So all in all I think he enjoyed his relaxing father's day.  Dane is an AMAZING father and Carter and I love him more then we can say!
Carter had fun splashing in the creek, but was not so sure about the little pebbles that would get into his sandals - he kept lifting up his feet and looking concerned.
