Busy weekend...

On Friday night we had an anniversary party with the Seymour group.  Carter and Josey found the coolers of beer to be plenty of entertainment.  They took turns standing on each side and thought it was a blast to put the beers and ice in the cup holders on the cooler near by.  Carter was even hand feeding Josey some ice cubes - what little love bugs :)
On Saturday we decided we'd head out to do some hiking.  Carter discovered the camel back straw and enjoyed slurping water from it.  This kid loves to drink water!
We were going to go hike at Roxborough park but they don't allow dogs so we stopped at Chatfield along the way.  Carter loves seeing all the dogs there and has gotten pretty good at pointing and saying "DOG!"  This boy also thinks running is the greatest thing and I had to chase after him the whole time.
Chesni was also happy as could be with a ball and swimming
This was the first time we'd hiked around in Roxborough and it was really pretty - kinda reminded me of a mini Garden of the Gods
We let Carter walk around for a little bit and then he did not want to get in the backpack - he was just not happy about it here.
So after some big whining we put the camel back in the backpack and took turns carrying him for about the last 1/2 mile.  I'm sure he would have liked to walk on his own, but when you get so easily distracted by every stick, rock and blade of grass it would have taken way too long. :)
I love my two boys!!
On Sunday my mom came up for a visit and me, her and Carter headed to the zoo.  Carter really liked monkey island.
Still not quite as tall as a penguin
We took Carter on his first carousel ride.  I think the up and down and around and round was a little much for him at first.
So I sat with him on a stationary animal and he seemed to enjoy it much more
He did love to just stand and watch though
Our good family friend, Josh, was in town from Las Vegas so after the zoo we went to go visit him and Leanne.  Carter had a little too much fun with some glasses of ice water while we sat outside and he was a very wet little boy by the time we left.
So worn out after running around!
