Busy week

Two weeks ago was a busy week.  On Tuesday my parents came up to visit and we went over to Southlands for dinner.  While we waited for Leanne and Dane to meet us after work, we took Carter to the fountains.  He of course took quite a while to warm up to it but eventually was running all over the place.

Yep, drinking the fountain

The next day we went to meet Carrie, Marley and Everly at Monkey Bizness.  Carrie and I worked at Antero together a couple years ago and we were both pregnant with our second baby at the same time.  Our due dates were less than a week a part but Miss Everly was nice to her mama and came 8 days early, while Landon held out and only came 2 days early for me - so our babies are 12 days apart.  It was fun to get to catch up with her, though we kept on having to take turns running around with Marley and Carter - they seemed to like to be supervised.
If you look on the very far side you can see Carter going down the slide - he just fearlessly went down the big slide all by himself!

Painting time!

Marley helped Carter out and painted a butterfly for him at the top of his painting - she noticed it was lacking :)

After Monkey Bizness we headed up to Johnstown to visit Tracey and then have dinner with her, Sean, Courtney and Jamison.  We brought Chesni with us so she could meet Sean and Tracey's new puppy Dante.  We took them over to a pond so Ches could teach him how to swim and we also played at the nearby park.  Carter slept in the car on the ride up, but it was only about 30 minutes.  After running around so much around 6:30 I looked over and found him like this on the floor.  So tired!  It was quite a busy day for us but everyone did good with being out and about and away from home all day.
Then on Friday we headed down to the springs.  Dane's good friend Mike was getting married and Dane was a groomsman.  We spent lots of time playing and running around at Grammy and Papa's.  We will have to get Carter used to sleeping on his air mattress or need to try out a sleeping bag though.  He kept getting into the bed with us, which would have been fine had he not slept horizontally.  I kept trying to turn him around and then he'd just go right back to being sideways.  I woke up at one point and he and Dane were both passed out despite the fact that Carter has his leg right on Dane's neck.  Not the best nights sleep for us so naps were needed the next day!
Landon had no problem sleeping at all!
