A couple weekends ago I had plans to go up to Breckenridge for Hannah's bachelorette party, leaving Dane all on his own with the boys. When I first told him about it he said that's ok I'll just have you're mom watch them...then I told him my parents would be in Durango. No problem he said, I'll have Leanne come help me...to which I told him that she'd be down in the springs watching the dogs since my parent were gone. He then said, "oh shit!" Not exactly the response to make you feel good about leaving :) But I know he is a great dad and that he'd be just fine - which he was. The man weekend of 2011 was much different than his man weekend of 2010. No training camp, Coors Field tours or going to the wings over the rockies museum. This time consisted of staying home, watching cartoons, playing and eating cookies :) But everyone enjoyed themselves and was in one piece and I had a great time in the mountains will all of my best friends.
Dane was running shift so I had to meet him at the firehouse before I headed up. So of course we had to take some pictures. We only got a few though because shortly after we started they got a call and had to leave. Carter did think that it was really cool to see the firetruck drive off with the sirens and lights going, but he didn't understand why his dad went on it.
